What is GlitterBombTrap?
GlitterBombTrap is a prank mail shop. You pick a glitter letter, a prank card, a mailer from a made-up company or a surprise, write your message, and we address it and mail it to one friend. It is a HowToRevenge shop, so the humor is petty, not cruel.
How does it work?
Pick a gift, write your message, and enter a US home address. A person reads your message first. If it is a friendly joke, we write the address in pen and mail it within 2 business days of approval. Shipping is free and already in the price.
What does the person who gets it see?
They see a normal looking letter, card or mailer addressed in pen. Inside is the joke, and in the glitter pieces, a glitter surprise. Every piece has a card that says it was a joke and gives them a free way to block more mail from us.
Is it anonymous?
Yes, to the person who gets it. Your name is not on the outside. It is not anonymous to a court. We keep order records and share them when the law requires. The rules and the terms say exactly how, so read them before you order.
Is sending prank mail legal?
A harmless joke for a friend who will laugh is generally fine. Threats, harassment and repeated unwanted mail to one person are not, and we refuse those orders. We are not lawyers. Read is prank mail legal for what we found and where we found it.
Can I send a glitter bomb anonymously?
Yes. Your name stays off the outside, so the person who gets it will not see who sent it. We keep your order record, and we share it if a court or the law asks. Anonymous means anonymous to the recipient, not to the law.
What will you refuse to write or mail?
We refuse threats, slurs, insults, accusations, anything that looks like a real legal, medical or government notice, and any real person, company or school. We also refuse workplace, government, court, school, prison and hospital addresses. The full list is on the rules page.
Where do you deliver?
Homes in the US only. We refuse workplace, government, court, school, prison and hospital addresses. A prank should land with a friend at home who will laugh, not in front of a room of people. Pick a home address and the prank can go ahead.
Can I send the same person more than one gift?
Send one gift to one friend. We limit how often any address can get mail from us, across all buyers, and we do not say why an order was turned away. We also refuse any address that asked us to stop. A prank is funny once.
How long does it take, and does shipping cost extra?
Shipping is free and already in the price. We mail within 2 business days of your order being approved. We ship to US addresses only. Mail time after that depends on the postal service, so order early for a date you care about.
Can I pick the glitter color?
Yes on the glitter letter and the glitter card: silver, gold, pink, blue, green or mixed. Double glitter is +$3.00 on those two. The Decoy Mailer, Petty Mail and Mystery Trap do not use the color choice. It is standard glitter in every piece, sealed in an inner pouch.
What if I change my mind or something goes wrong?
Each order is made for you, so it is not returnable. If we refuse your order, you are not charged. If we fail to mail it, we mail it again or refund you. The shipping and refunds page has the details. A person reads every order first.
What if I got one and I do not want more?
Use the code on the card and the link to block my address, or type your address in. It is free, no account needed. We then refuse any order to that address for good. We keep only a scrambled copy of the address for this.
When can I buy the Glitter Bomb tube?
Orders are not open yet, and that includes the tube. Use the "tell me when it ships" field on its page and we will use your email only to tell you when it ships. After that it ships like everything else, free in the US, pen addressed, within 2 business days of approval.
